Is there a rule that you can only search a room twice? If there is - I missed it...

Yeah, there is a rule you can only search twice in a row in the same room.  You can leave and come back to search to more times.  So if you get stuck in a room and searching doesn't get you a secret door or catacomb entrance to leave, then you are trapped forever and lose.

What I don't understand is that if the first tile was a rotating room, and the tile rotated 180 degrees, then it should have moved the entrance into an open part of the board so that they could keep exploring.  You would eventually have to find an alternate exit to leave the dungeon since the tile won't rotate anymore, but they shouldn't have become trapped.

Maybe he didnt' realize it was 180 and only rotated it 90 into the wall.

Crap, maybe I did miss something.  After entering the room, I did rotate it 180.  What I forgot was that I COULD then move across the arrow (entry) into an "unexplored" tile, and proceed.

Thanks for pointing that out.  My odds for success have now just increased .000001%  LOL.
