Already in the original Games Workshop version of Dungeonquest in the early 90s ( or was it already in the late 80? ), i was very angry that this game was not part of Talisman. The rules and the combatsystem are very close to those of Talisman and after one or two games of Dungeonquest we made it to an expansion of Talisman. It was much more exciting having it withing the Talisman world.  i guess i will do the same thing now.

in the ffg talisman forum ,i wrote a thread "Dragontower : my greatest wish to ffg " as an option to bring those two games together. although the main theme is to construct the tower in a way that multiple towers will fit together to a larger one, the single spaces could be made as a larger copy of dungeonquest tiles, the talisman tower could then be used as a three dimensional luxury board for dungeonquest too.

i hope ffg will consider this.

I'm not sure where you are coming from in terms of the combat systems of Dungeon Quest and Talisman being similar-   DQ is pretty much Paper-Rock-Scissors while Talisman is a die roll.   In DQ, it's all about subtley convincing your opponent to choose Rock while you choose Paper

I don`t think it was a lost chance, more a frantic wish-believe from some fan

the games are too different as Oboewan mentioned. What was a bigger shocker for me was that FFG put DQ into the dreadful terinoth world. I don`t like that setting. Classic games should not be tampered with in this way. What `s wrong with just having a non-specific fantasy world to play in?

just me?
