Does anyone have any suggestions regarding painting the figures such as:

What to use for primer?

How to protect them after painting?

Somone suggested a mixture of 50% Elmer's glue and water to coat them after painting, has anyone tried that?

Hi!

Here's what I have done for mine (as well as for TOI's figs):

1. Soaked the figs in vinegar. Tossed and turn them so they'd be real clean. Rinsed with water.

2. Sprayed them with a grey acrylic color.

3. Painted them with acrylics. (I use brushes only. No spray, no air brush.)

4. Varnished the figs, two coats. I used Liquitex Matte Varnish. The varnish looks really protective and gives a cool finish to the figs.

Thank you MB,

Is there any chance you could post a picture or two?  Does the varnish harden the figures?

The varnish doesn't harden the figs, really.

Here are some pictures.
