Ynnen. I cleaned the regional map up for my players with Photoshop. I left the roads, bridges (and bridge names), river names on, but removed all the adventure locations or references to the adventure locations (the lightning and the magical "swirl" on the nexus).
I used the clone stamp tool, so there's only original artwork used. If you wish I can send you the cleaned up "player" map and you can upload it for everyone as it seems quite a many GMs have been hoping for this kind of map.
I hope I didn't break any rules with this, I just wish to help out as the game rocks!

Very good idea :)
Post it on some fansite like Hammerzeit (http://74.53.20.230/hammerzeit/)
and thank you to share your work!

Before uploading it to Hammerzeit I need a consent from Ynnen/FFG as it's their map afterall. But I'm more than happy to send it over so it can be hosted on the official website (if they think my work is good enough).

I certainly hope they give you permission. I want that map. I consider the PDFs a big sign that FFG cares about supporting their customers, even for free. So I expect they'll be okay with the completely unmarked version.
Things are moving forward.
Last night (Europe time) I exchanged mails with Jay from FFG. I sent my cleaned up version of the map to him and he said that most probably they'll be able to include it to the map pack they have available on the support page. I guess they just have to be extra careful as GW guards the Warhammer IP vigorously (as they should IMHO).
Whatever happens with the map I have to appreciate Jay's swift and friendly answer and the care he clearly shows towards the players. Made me appreciate FFG even more if possible. This is kind of company and people I'm happy to support. Especially when they keep on creating such great games :)

Good news! Well, except for the part that even a simple decision such as this has to pass through GW approval. I remember the GW approval process slowing down lots of publications in the Hogshead days too. Especially when GW had more important things on their mind, approval of WFRP items could take a lot of time.
I don't think they have to get GW approval for a thing like this. It was just Jay saying that it was cool that I contacted them instead of just uploading the file somewhere like Hammerzeit as the Warhammer IP is a touchy issue for GW. At least I hope that GW's long arm isn't that restrictive and FFG can call the shots.

Taking your feedback into consideration, I've updated the Gathering Storm map download with an edited version of the region map that Mordjinn provided. You can download the updated DLC map pack from the WFRP Support page.

Huzzah! Now if we could get a similar treatment for the Stromdorf town map without the key buildings highlighted with arrows pointing to them, we'd be set.

Less of an issue to me, as it's more common knowledge, and those features aren't really spoilers. Also, the perfectly circular map looks rather abstract to me.
In any case, I'm happy with the new completely spoiler-free map!
