Noticed that the description does not have range details.  Is it melee or distanced?

The power is based on the Navigator's use of his Warp Eye. So, I would treat range and area of effect in the same was as The Lidless Stare (see RT: Core Book, p. 180). As per that power: the Navigator's gaze has an effective range of 15 meters (5 meters in mist or fog). However, "Stripping the Husk" seems more like a directed laser barrage effect than the Toughness-penetrating psychic area damage of Lidless Stare. (which is still counted as Energy damage, but whatever…)

"These our actors, / As I foretold you, were all spirits,/ Are melted into air, into thin air, / And, like the baseless fabric of vision, / The cloud-capped towers, the gorgeous palaces, / The solemn temples, the great globe itself, / Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve / And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, / Leave not a rack behind." Shakespeare's The Tempest, IV.1
