I have seen this sentiment before - T snow and some of his circle were not fans, some other folks I ahve run inot over the years. Personally - i ahve played the Bg several times and have never been disappointed. It is what it is - an Ok introudcotry "war game". Like Lars says - if you wnat something meatier, God knows - there's plenty of stuff out there. For an entertaining evening of play though - i won't pass up a crack at the board game
Its better with the Martell expansion though. I will concede that.

An article about the event, including a link to two great reports (with decklists and rationales) from Dan (Twn2dn) and Paul (Red Terror), is available on the AGoT page here (link to article).
The article thanked me for sending the report. But other than some light edits, that's all I pretty much did. The real credit goes to Paul and Dan for being willing to share their deck lists and observations and each taking the time to write up their respective reports and to Chris (Stag Lord) who wrote the vast majority of the overview article. (I do deserve "credit" for those poor resolution photos accompanying the article; turns out the crappy camera on my phone is *not* a good substitute for my digital camera when the wife has it for the day.)
