Corruption in WFRP3

Should the new edition make more sense on how corruption effects the different races?

Although WFRP2 made Halfling all but immune and gave Dwarfs an innate resistance to magic, nothing was do to explain how Elves were suppose to be 'different' in accordance to GW and WFB.  I believe that any new edition decides to make a distinction between Wood and High Elves should go that extra mile and from the start explain how Elves are different in both corruption and their use of magic.

Well, using the dice pool with symbols, IF bad things happen when casting spells, and these things show up as symbols on the dice, perhaps certain races are able to ignore a certain number of these bad symbols when they appear?
