Epic Fantasy Adventures
While "treasure hunting" in a few of my favorite stores, I picked up some items that got me feeling .... creative!
Find#1 The full set of Crossbows and Catapults. Found in Toys R Us. Base set plus expansion sets totaled under $45.
Find#2 Battle Masters. Found in Goodwill store for $1.99 Has most of the figures and best of all, the arge vinyl map.
Now if I can JUST find a 2nd copy of the map (or the whole set) then I can finally playtest my version of Battlelore.
The C&C figs and the BM figs will make up my armies. Throw in a few D&D minis for Hill Giants and such and I have a large scale Battlelore set.
Add in the range rules of C&C and I have my hybrid fantasy war game!
If I don't find a 2nd map soon, I may just have to take the wife's abuse for hand-drawing hexes on our nice white folding tables.... 8-)
When life throws a cheap shot at you, keep your chin up! That way you won't see the haymaker when it takes you down! You can wake up and wonder what happened. (Hey, it works for politicians)
