Take one copy of Heroquest bought at a recent car boot sale for £1.00…
Be sure to remove the Barbarian miniature…

Take the box art from Advanced Heroquest and crop out the background, leaving a suitable image…

Add to Strange Eons and mix slowly with ideas and ponderings to taste…

I didn't want him to be just another bulldozer, so I changed him to be a little more thematic (in my opinion).
His first ability is similar, but his knowledge of those parts gives him the advantage. Mostly against becoming lost, as I would sooner fight something than miss a turn!
The second ability is a take on the old Halfling, but completely in line with a battle-hardened Barbarian with a massive sword! Imagine a sword blow with such force as it just slices and dices, a bit like a very sharp club!
The third is a kind of toughness benefit, to counter any drawback from probably taking lives more often than not in battle.
If you fancy trying him out, you can get the file here… CLICKY

I have played a lot of Heroquest games, when i was around 12 to 16 years old.
I have good memories of it. I was the dungeon master all the time haha
I wonder why we still have no Barbarian for Talisman, after so many expansions..
It was a base game character in talisman 3th edtion
Even in heroquest, it was one of the 4 characters:)
Soundly done, Jon! Might try him myself the next time get around to Talisman.
