The Lady watched the Elf as he discarded the two gold pieces to complete the quest that the Warlock had set for him.

Before the Elf was summoned back to the Warlock's Cave, the Lady waved her hand and at once stood before him.

"The Warlock surely has the prize you seek young adventurer, but if you desire you may take a favour from me instead that might help you in your quest for the Crown of Command", she explained.

The Elf thought for a moment, then bowed graciously and shook his head. In a flash, he was gone.

The Lady smiled. “There will be others”, she thought. “There are always others”.

Great piece of writing - and just the thing I needed this morning.

Has anyone thought about writing a trilogy of novels based on Talisman? All of the components are there…heck…even an anthology series would work well.

Regardless - I hope to see more pieces of writing up on the forum boards.

She is not out to spoil the Warlock's Quest mechanic, but can in fact help it along…

…and no, it has not been done previously.

The idea was to make a helpful NPC, and the Lady was really an easy choice for the job. Triggered by completion of quests, she can help you by offering you one of her "favours", or if you happen upon her normally she can be rather useful too.

I hope you like her…

Ah, this one should make people happy, especially with most NPCs being so dangerous… well, the Toad King is a toss up, but still, the Lady was a necessity for some balance.

This is a quite nice expansion. Especially the rewards, like "Three Wishes" (Djinn anyone?) are funny and worth getting.

In fact "Two Wishes" and "Three Wishes" need an additional note what happens if a Character wants two or three teleportations in a row. If he can use them in the subsequent rounds, or in a single turn. What happens if his turn ends before he was able to use the remaining teleportations?

However, the idea is that you get to choose two or three of the seven options that are presented to you, so you cannot choose to teleport three times.

So you could take a Strength, a fate and then teleport or any other combination.
