I traded away my copy of the base and the expansion just a month ago or so.
The value it held in trade far outweighed any "play" value I could have gotten out of it.
It may have been great upon release and for its time, but it felt a bit dated and there are too many games that have come out since that improved upon that type of system.
Sad.
I still loved the "battle phase" system and how it stressed foot troops importance on the battle field,
instead of the "all cavalry" or "all archer" type of armies some games stress.
I love playing this game as much as I do War of the Ring. Similar experiences, awesome multiplayer, the only thing that sucked
was game-tile setup, which took quite a while and just took one table bump to mess up.
No Gray Hair...
I'd love to see an updated version of Battlemist. It, and Twilight Imperium, were why I started playing FFG games. Sure, the components and system might need a little tweeking and it might be better to convert it over to the Runebound world, but I'd be game.

9:)
I just discovered last night that I gave my Battlemist to my old store owner and forgot about that. So much custom work I did for it. Oh well. Can't wait for Runewars!
