What Planes Should I Demo the Game With?
Published on 30 May 2010 - 00:53:41

Greetings all,

I picked up Watch Your Back and my friends and girlfriend's daughter are going to play.  What 3 classic planes can you recommend I purchase to use for demos?

also, if you know discount sites where they are not sold out, that would be helpful.

Thanks

Here is the list of planes. I copied it from someone elses post.

Nieuport 11 (7 airplane cards, 1 maneuver deck)
S. Schuckert D.I (2 airplane cards, 1 maneuver deck)
Hanriot HD1 (5 airplane cards, 1 available maneuver deck)
Halberstadt D.III (4 airplane cards, 1 available maneuver deck)
AIRCO D.H. 4 (1 airplane card, 1 available maneuver deck)
De Haviland D.H. 4 (2 airplane cards, 1 available maneuver deck)
UFAG C.1 (3 airplane cards, 1 available maneuver deck)
SPAD XIII (1 airplane card, no included maneuver deck; to be used with H deck from Famous Aces)

The list includes a number of 2 seaters for bombing missions. The 2 seaters add some additional complexity to the rules so you may want to stick with the single seater planes. The A deck does more damage than the B deck and helps the game go faster but the package you have comes with a B deck only I believe. If you only have a B deck then you just single seat fighters with B guns, ie one single machine gun.  Which ones you take are up to you. If you want to use twin machine guns, ie the A deck and do not have one, then just draw 2 B deck cards per shot.

Not sure if this helps you much.
