The Scorpion Army

by Eric Lind

Following the teachings of Arh-Toltoth, the Syhar had their eyes on one thing… creating the perfect being. To do this the Syhar constructed laboratories all over the lands of Syharhalna and mass produced their clone conquerors. Their pursuit for the perfect being has consumed their culture and they will stop at nothing to complete this feat of man to rein supreme in all of Aarklash. Pressing on in their pursuit, the genes of their fallen enemies are collected to aid them in this superhuman project; creating a perfect Aarklash is their utmost of goals. Thanks to their obedient army, the Scorpion have a chance in their endeavor as their main troop, the clones, do not understand their ultimate plans, but simply fight to please their master. Responsible for triggering the Rag'narok, the scorpion army is a powerful force to reckon with.

The Scorpion army promises to bring more mettle to the battlefield, allowing for a brutal fight until the end. On the low end of things, the clone soldiers are the base unit for the Scorpion faction. As a direct product of the various laboratories in Syharhalna, these troops symbolize the successes of the Syhar cloning project. Since these units can be produced in vast amounts, don't be surprised to witness an onslaught of clone troopers when going up against the Scorpion. This can allow the units to become easily expendable as they're easy to create once more. The Phemera unit epitomizes this concept. When rushed into an enemy unit, they can sacrifice themselves and cause explosions that will shred through a unit with ease.

As experimentation continued with the Syhar's army, the Evolution units came about. These units, though smaller in size compared to the clones, are a sight to see in battle. With the Dasyatis Evolution's ability to regenerate and the Nemesis Evolution's scout ability, come prepared when fighting these units. Though there are only a maximum of four of these in a unit, it will take some severe punishment from your side to take these beasts down.

The Prime units are the pinnacle of Scorpion technology. Monsters formed in metal and flesh, these beasts of chaos pose a terrifying threat to their enemies on the battlefield. If the fear alone doesn't drive your forces mad with terror, the sheer force of Prime units will make them wish it had. Having only one fighter in your unit can look harmless enough, but up close your enemies will think twice about about rushing headstrong against a Prime fighter.

With this new addition of forces to Confrontation: Age of Rag'narok, these Meanders' of Darkness will shake the foundations of Aarklash with terror and might. Will you stand valiantly against the Scorpion, or will you honor the ways of Arh-Tolth and conquer all of Aarklash and reign supreme?
